My new record. Nostalgia and Amnesia.

It is an intimate record. No synthetic ethereal atmospherics or reverb added to fill voids. For the most part it is there in the room with you.

It is a guitar record. Though you will hear sounds alluding to and playing the role of horns, strings and organs, synth etc., every sound was made with good ol' acoustic guitar, electric guitar, banjo, bass and drums. Tons of riffs.

Its a rock and roll record. Intro, outro, Part A, Part B, a bridge and a solo/ instrumental break here and there but for the most part it gets to the point and is indulgent only in texture and color..not in structural experiment. You can tap your foot and drum on your steering wheel, I have danced to it. Yes the notes are chords are bobbing and weaving but you could probably play along with only a few notes if you so desired.

It is an american record. Many little nods to my more euro heroes such as Brian Eno etc but at its core you will hear the soul/country/hilllbilly/blues/jazz influences without the generic Retro production mimicry that is so popular of late.

Its a fun, sometimes humorous and emotional record with little overt irony, goofiness or melodrama. Its the real thing. You should listen to it, start to finish, very loudly.
